Memory

6 channels per CPU, up to 2933 MT/s with one DIMM per channel, 2666 MT/s with two. Faster modules work and run at the platform's speed. 2933 needs one DIMM per channel. Fill the second slot in a channel and the whole bus drops to 2666 — on 1st-gen (Skylake) CPUs the ceiling is 2666 either way.

Processors

Socket LGA3647. Check the CPU is on your server's supported list, and that the BIOS is recent enough for it.
